The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is announcing that The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has filed a petition proposing that the food additive regulations be amended to provide for the safe use of piperylene/2-methyl-2-butene/alpha-methylstyrene terpolymers for use in the preparation of can end cements intended for use in contact with food.
