This Public Notice announces the procedures and minimum opening bids for the upcoming Paging 929 and 931 MHz Upper Bands Auction (``Upper Bands Auction''). This document gives auction notice and filing requirements for 2,499 paging upper band licenses scheduled for February 24, 2000 and announces minimum opening bids and other procedural issues. On June 7, 1999, the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau (``Bureau'') released a Public Notice seeking comment on the establishment of reserve prices or minimum opening bids for the Upper Bands auction. In addition, the Bureau sought comment on a number of procedures to be used in the Upper Bands auction. The Bureau received four comments and no replies in response to the Paging Upper Bands Public Notice.
