The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is announcing that ICI PLC has filed a petition proposing that the food additive regulations be amended to provide for the expanded safe use of N,N-bis (2- hydroxyethyl) alkyl (C 13 -C 15 ) amine as an antistatic agent in polypropylene homo- and copolymers intended for contact with food.
