The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is announcing that The Dow Chemical Co. has filed a petition proposing that the food additive regulations be amended to provide for the safe use of polyethylenepolyamines as cross-linking agents for epoxy resins in coatings intended for use in contact with food.
