The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is announcing that BF Goodrich Specialty Chemicals has filed a petition proposing that the food additive regulations be amended to provide for the safe use of polyurethane resins manufactured from diphenylmethane diisocyanate, 1,4-butanediol, and adipic acid as a component of cap liners used on bottles in contact with food.
