The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is announcing that Eastman Chemical Co. has filed a petition proposing that the food additive regulations be amended to provide for the safe use of dimethyl 1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylate as a monomer in polyester resins employed in adhesives as components of articles intended for use in contact with food.
