The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is announcing that Enviro Tech Chemical Services, Inc., has filed a petition proposing that the food additive regulations be amended to provide for the safe use of sodium mono- and dimethyl naphthalene sulfonates as an aid in peeling tomatoes without a potable water wash.
