Özet
The Board is proposing to amend its regulations to remove Regulation R concerning relations with dealers in securities under section 32 of the Banking Act of 1933, which the Board believes is no longer necessary. The Board also is proposing to amend its regulations to remove an interpretation of section 32 of the Glass-Steagall Act, which the Board believes is no longer necessary. This interpretation explains the position of the Board regarding the application of the prohibitions of section 32 to bank holding companies.
