The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is announcing that Peroxid-Chemie GmbH has filed a petition proposing that the food additive regulations be amended to provide for the safe use of di(4- methylbenzoyl) peroxide as an accelerator for silicone polymers and elastomers for use in contact with food.
