This action establishes Class E airspace at Ukiah, CA. An automated Weather Observing System (AWOS) has been installed at the Ukiah Municipal Airport meeting the criterion for a surface area. Controlled airspace extending from the surface is needed for Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) operations at Ukiah Municipal Airport. The area will be depicted on aeronautical charts to provide a reference for pilots operating in the area.
