Atlantic Sea Scallop Fishery

Özet

NMFS issues this final rule to implement the conservation and management measures contained in Amendment 4 to the Fishery Management Plan (FMP) for the Atlantic Sea Scallop Fishery. Amendment 4 substantially revises the management of the Atlantic Sea Scallop Fishery, especially regarding effort control in the fishery, permits, and reporting and recordkeeping requirements. The intent of this Amendment is to reduce the fishing mortality rate to eliminate the overfished condition of Atlantic sea scallops.
