Eastman Chemical Co.; Filing of Food Additive Petition

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is announcing that Eastman Chemical Co. has filed a petition proposing that the food additive regulations be amended to provide for the safe use of ethylene-1,4-cyclohexylene dimethylene terephthalate copolymers that include 1 to 100 mole percent of repeat units derived from 1,4- cyclohexylene dimethylene terephthalate and to broaden the conditions of use and the product specifications.
