The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is announcing that Eastman Chemical Co. has filed a petition proposing that the food additive regulations be amended to provide for the safe use of 1,4- cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid as a polybasic acid for use in polyester resins intended for food-contact coatings.
