The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is proposing to revise its regulations to recognize the acronym ``DATEM'' as the alternate common or usual name of diacetyl tartaric acid esters of mono- and diglycerides. This proposal is in response to a citizen petition submitted by Grindsted Products Co.
