The Coast Guard is establishing moving and fixed security zones around high capacity passenger vessels, including international ferries, located in the Portland, Maine, Captain of the Port zone. These security zones are necessary to ensure public safety and prevent sabotage or terrorist acts against these vessels. Persons and vessels will be prohibited from entering these security zones without the permission of the Captain of the Port, Portland, Maine.
