The Coast Guard is establishing permanent moving security zones around cruise ships entering and departing the Lower Mississippi River (LMR) from the Southwest Pass sea buoy to mile marker 96.0. These security zones are needed for the safety and security of these vessels. Entry into these zones is prohibited to all persons and vessels unless authorized by the Captain of the Port New Orleans or designated representative.
