The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is announcing that Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. has filed a petition proposing that the food additive regulations be amended to provide for the safe use of butylated reaction product of p-cresol and dicyclopentadiene as an antioxidant in pressure sensitive adhesives intended for use in contact with food.
