The Consumer Compliance Task Force of the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) is issuing Interagency Questions and Answers Regarding Community Reinvestment (Interagency Questions and Answers). To help financial institutions meet their responsibilities under the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and to increase public understanding of their CRA regulations, the staffs of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), the Federal Reserve Board (Board), the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) (collectively, the ``agencies'') have prepared answers to the most frequently asked questions about community reinvestment. The Interagency Questions and Answers contain informal staff guidance for agency personnel, financial institutions, and the public.
