Under the Federal Advisory Committee Act, Pub. L. 92-463, EPA gives notice of two one-day meetings of the Environmental Information and Assessment (EIA) Committee of the National Advisory Council for Environmental Policy and Technology (NACEPT). NACEPT provides advice and recommendations to the Administrator of EPA on a broad range of environmental policy issues, and the EIA Committee examines issues associated with the gathering, dissemination, and use of environmentally related data and information. The meetings are being held to discuss recommendations EPA should consider as it develops an Information Resources Management (IRM) Strategic Plan. Scheduling constraints preclude oral comments from the public during the meetings. Written comments can be submitted by mail, and will be transmitted to Committee members for consideration.
