The United States Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, has filed an application to withdraw 24,780.65 acres of National Forest System land for protection of the Guadalupe Escarpment Wilderness Study Area. This notice closes the land for up to two (2) years from location and entry under the United States mining laws. The land will remain open to all other uses which may by law be made of National Forest System land.
