The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is announcing that Rhone-Poulenc Animal Nutrition has filed a petition proposing that the food additive regulations be amended to provide for the safe use of poly(2-vinylpyridine-co-styrene) as a coating agent in the preparation of rumen-stable, abomasum-dispersible nutrient products for dairy cattle and dairy replacement heifers.
