The Coast Guard is establishing two temporary safety zones but will only enforce one, based on the local weather conditions the day of the event for navigable waters of the East Passage, Narragansett Bay, RI during The Ocean Race marine event on May 20, 2023. The safety zone is needed to safeguard mariners from the hazards associated with high- speed, high-performance sailing vessels competing in inshore races on the waters of the East Passage, Narragansett Bay, RI.
