Safety Zone; Atlantic Ocean, Atlantic City, NJ

The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone for navigable waters of the Atlantic Ocean, near Atlantic City, NJ. This action is necessary to provide for the safety of life on these navigable waters during an offshore airshow on May 29, 2026, through May 31, 2026. This regulation prohibits persons and vessels from entering the regulated area unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port, Sector Delaware Bay, or their designated representative.

Safety Zone; Annual Fireworks Displays Within the Sector Columbia River Captain of the Port Zone

The Coast Guard amends the regulations establishing safety zones for annual fireworks displays in the Captain of the Port Zone Columbia River. Special Local Regulations; Marine Events Within the Sector Columbia River Captain of the Port Zone

The Coast Guard will enforce special local regulations at various locations in the Sector Columbia River Captain of the Port Zone from May 30, 2026, to August 8, 2026. This action is necessary to provide for the safety of life and property on these navigable waters during marine events. During the enforcement periods, the operator of any vessel in the regulated area must comply with the directions from the Patrol Commander or any official patrol vessel.

Safety Zone; Sector Mobile Annual and Recurring Safety Zones

The Coast Guard is proposing to revise its regulations for permanent safety zones in the Coast Guard Sector Mobile Captain of the Port Zone, 33 CFR 165.801 Table 7, to update the current list with revisions and additional events. The proposed safety zones are necessary to protect event participants, waterway users, and vessels from the potential hazards associated with these recurring events. This proposed rulemaking would prohibit persons from being in the proposed safety zones without permission from the Captain of the Port (COTP) or the COTP's designated representative. We invite your comments on this proposed rulemaking.

Safety Zones; Fireworks Displays in the USCG East District

The Coast Guard is amending its regulation for recurring safety zones for fireworks displays in the USCG East District by adding safety zones for three recurring events and by amending the safety zone for one recurring event. All lie within the Virginia Captain of the Port Zone. This rulemaking will provide for the safety of life on the navigable waters at the confluence of the James River and the Appomattox River, on the Hampton River, on the East River, and on the Elizabeth River, at Town Point Reach, during firework displays typically held on each of those rivers annually.
