EPA is announcing an extension of the public comment period for the proposed rule entitled "Approval and Promulgation of Implementation Plans; Alabama: Proposed Approval of Revisions to the Visible Emissions Rule and Alternative Proposed Disapproval of Revisions to the Visible Emissions Rule." The proposed rule was initially published in the Federal Register on October 2, 2009. Written comments on the proposed rule were to be submitted to EPA on or before November 16, 2009 (45-day comment period). EPA is extending the public comment period until December 16, 2009.
