Groundfish Fishery of the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands; Fisheries of the Exclusive Economic Zone; Proposed 1998 Harvest Specifications for Groundfish

Resumo

NMFS proposes 1998 harvest specifications, prohibited species bycatch allowances, and associated management measures for the groundfish fishery of the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands management area (BSAI). This action is necessary to establish harvest limits and associated management measures for groundfish for the 1998 fishing year. The intended effect of this action is to conserve and manage the groundfish resources in the BSAI and to provide an opportunity for public participation in the annual groundfish specification process.
