Commercial Fishing Industry Vessel Regulations for Aleutian Trade Act Vessels

The Coast Guard is issuing regulations for U.S. commercial fishing industry vessels subject to the Aleutian Trade Act (ATA) of 1990. This rule promulgates a new subpart regulating certain equipment requirements and operating procedures for fish tender vessels operating in the Aleutian trade. These regulations allow for continued cargo service by water to remote communities in Alaska while ensuring increased safety standards for the vessels engaged in this trade.
