Resumo

NMFS proposes 1996 initial harvest specifications, prohibited species bycatch allowances, and associated measures for the groundfish fishery of the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands management area (BSAI). This action is necessary to inform the public about proposed 1996 harvest specifications and associated management measures. The intended effect is to conserve and manage the groundfish resources in the BSAI and to provide an opportunity for public participation in this process.
