This amendment adopts a new airworthiness directive (AD), applicable to certain de Havilland Model DHC-8 series airplanes, that requires modification of a certain battery temperature monitor. This amendment is prompted by reports of failure of the battery temperature monitor, which resulted in smoke in the flight compartment.
