The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is announcing that Sumitomo Chemical America, Inc., has filed a petition proposing that the food additive regulations be amended to provide for the safe use of 2,2'-methylenebis(4-methyl-6-tert-butylphenol)monoacrylate as an antioxidant in acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene copolymers intended for use in contact with food.
