Groundfish of the Gulf of Alaska; Groundfish Fishery of the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands Area

Resumo

NMFS issues final regulations to change requirements for observer coverage of the groundfish fisheries in the Gulf of Alaska (GOA) and the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands management area (BSAI). This action is necessary to improve management of the groundfish fisheries off Alaska. The intended effect of this action is to increase observer coverage of the groundfish harvests and to promote the fishery management objectives of the Fishery Management Plan (FMP) for Groundfish of the GOA and the FMP for the Groundfish Fishery of the BSAI.
