The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is announcing that Aplin & Barrett Ltd., and Papetti's Hygrade Egg Products, Inc., as copetitioners, have filed a petition (GRASP 4G0408) proposing to affirm that nisin preparation is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) as an antimicrobial agent in various standardized and nonstandardized liquid egg products.
