Rules To Carry Out the Purposes of Section 42 and for Correcting Administrative Errors and Omissions

This document contains final regulations concerning the Secretary's authority to provide guidance necessary or appropriate to carry out the purposes of section 42, the low-income housing credit. This document also contains final regulations allowing State and local housing credit agencies to correct administrative errors and omissions made in connection with allocations of low-income housing credit dollar amounts and recordkeeping within a reasonable period after their discovery. The final regulations affect State and local housing credit agencies, owners of buildings or projects for which the low-income housing credit is allocated, and taxpayers claiming the low-income housing credit.
