Delegation of Authority to the Director of the Division of Trading and Markets

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (``Commission'') is delegating to the Director of the Division of Trading and Markets, and to such members of the Commission staff acting under the Director's direction as the Director may designate from time to time, the authority to perform all functions reserved to the Commission under the recently adopted risk assessment requirements for holding company systems in Secs. 1.14 and 1.15 of the Commission's regulations. The delegation should result in more expeditious treatment of exemption requests, which will benefit futures commission merchants (``FCMs'') and the Commission.
