Streszczenie
This interim rule amends the Federal Travel Regulation (FTR) to implement certain provisions of the Jerry L. Litton United States Post Office Building Act (Pub. L. No. 103-338, October 6, 1994). This Act provides for payment of ``last move home'' benefits for eligible VA medical center directors and also for members of the immediate family of an individual who dies while in Government service and who was eligible for ``last move home'' benefits immediately prior to death. This interim rule also implements the Joint Financial Management Improvement Program (JFMIP) recommendation to allow reimbursement for environmental testing and property inspection fees in connection with the sale or purchase of a home. This interim rule is intended to improve the workforce by enhancing the existing ``last-move-home'' incentive designed to encourage mobility among senior level officials, and to equitably reimburse employees for required environmental testing/home inspection fees.
