In settlement of alleged violations of federal law prohibiting unfair or deceptive acts or practices and unfair methods of competition, this consent order requires, among other things, a Kentucky-based company to divest a funeral home in Castlewood, Virginia, within nine months, to a Commission-approved acquirer. If the transaction is not completed as required, the Commission may appoint a trustee to divest the property.
