This action requires inspections to detect cracking of the wing pylon aft bulkheads and upper spar webs, and replacement or repair, if necessary. This amendment is prompted by reports of fatigue cracking in the aft bulkhead and upper spar webs. The actions specified in this AD are intended to prevent failure of the wing pylon aft bulkhead due to fatigue cracking; such failure could lead to separation of the engine and pylon from the airplane.
