The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is announcing that Ciba-Geigy Corp. has filed a petition proposing that the food additive regulations be amended to provide for the safe use of bis(2,4-di-tert- butyl-6-methylphenyl) ethyl phosphite for use as a processing stabilizer for olefin polymers intended for use in contact with food.
