The Department of the Navy has decided to realign NAS Miramar into Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Miramar. This decision is made upon careful consideration of all comments on the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) prepared for the realignment action. After review of the administrative record and information received during the environmental review process, the Department of the Navy has determined that no new significant environmental information or circumstances exist. Consequently, the Department of the Navy has determined that a supplemental EIS is not warranted. It has been decided to implement the realignment action using the West-Ramp configuration (Alternative B), which was both the preferred alternative and also the environmentally preferred alternative.
