Samenvatting
This final rule removes two chemicals from a final rule published in the Federal Register of February 9, 1994. Diethyl phthalate and methyl methacrylate were included in the category ``OSHA Chemicals in Need of Dermal Absorption Testing'' in two model information-gathering rules: the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) section 8(a) Preliminary Assessment Information Rule (PAIR) and the TSCA section 8(d) Health and Safety Data Reporting Rule. Since that time, however, the Interagency Testing Committee (ITC) has received dermal absorption data which meets their needs. This rule removes diethyl phthalate (CAS No. 84-66-2) and methyl methacrylate (CAS No. 80-62-6) from the TSCA section 8(a) information gathering rule and diethyl phthalate from the section 8(d) health and safety data reporting rule.
