The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has issued a general license to the Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation (Wolf Creek), authorizing the operation of the Wolf Creek Generating Station Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI), in accordance with its regulations. The Order is being issued to Wolf Creek to impose additional security requirements because Wolf Creek has identified near term plans to store spent fuel in an ISFSI under the general license provisions of the NRC's regulations.
