James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant; Consideration of Approval of Transfer of License and Conforming Amendment

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) received and is considering approval of an application filed by Exelon Generation Company, LLC and its wholly owned subsidiary, Exelon FitzPatrick, LLC (collectively, "the applicants") on July 24, 2017. The applicants seek NRC's approval of the direct transfer of ownership of Facility Operating License No. DPR-59 for the James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant (FitzPatrick) and general license for the Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation from Exelon Generation Company, LLC, to Exelon FitzPatrick, LLC. The NRC is also considering amending the renewed facility operating license for administrative purposes to reflect the proposed transfer.
