The Penn Traffic Company; Proposed Consent Agreement With Analysis To Aid Public Comment
ローカル自動翻訳 · 情報源の原言語
概要
In settlement of alleged violations of federal law prohibiting unfair acts and practices and unfair methods of competition, this consent agreement, accepted subject to final Commission approval, would permit, among other things, the Penn Traffic Company to acquire a number of Acme supermarkets from American Stores Company, but would require it to divest, to a Commission approved acquirer or acquirers within twelve months, one supermarket in each of the three Pennsylvania areas designated (Towanda, Mount Carmel, and Pittston). If the divestitures were not completed on time, the consent agreement would permit the Commission to appoint a trustee to complete the transactions. In addition, the consent agreement would require the respondent, for ten years, to obtain Commission approval before acquiring any interest in any entity that owns or operates a supermarket in any of the three areas designated.
