The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has prepared a Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) to determine how to review the potential environmental impacts associated with authorizing NFE Altamira FLNG, S. de R.L. de C.V. (NFE Altamira) to export U.S.-sourced natural gas to Mexico and, after liquefaction in Mexico, to other countries from the proposed NFE Altamira FLNG Project. DOE is also announcing a public comment period to receive comments on the Draft EA.
