Volvo Bus Corporation (VBC) has determined that certain model year (MY) 2009-2023 Volvo 9700 buses do not fully comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 108, Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment. VBC filed a noncompliance report dated November 15, 2022, and subsequently petitioned NHTSA (the "Agency") on December 13, 2022, for a decision that the subject noncompliance is inconsequential as it relates to motor vehicle safety.
