On August 31, 2021, the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) published the "Notice of Intent to Prepare an Environmental Impact Statement for the Proposed Sunrise Wind Farm Project on the Northeast Atlantic Outer Continental Shelf" in the Federal Register (86 FR 48763).
