Airworthiness Directives; Empresa Brasileira de Aeronautica S.A. (EMBRAER) Model EMB-135 and EMB-145 Series Airplanes

Riepilogo

This document proposes the adoption of a new airworthiness directive (AD) that is applicable to certain EMBRAER Model EMB-135 and EMB-145 series airplanes. This proposal would require inspection of the housings of the main landing gear (MLG) leg strut bushings; repair of the housings if necessary; and replacement of the MLG leg strut bushings with new bushings. These actions are necessary to prevent corrosion of the housings of the MLG leg strut bushings and consequent failure of the MLG. This action is intended to address the identified unsafe condition.
