This document proposes the adoption of a new airworthiness directive (AD) that is applicable to certain Airbus Model A300 B2, A300 B4, A300 B4-600, A300 B4-600R, A300 F4-600R, and A310 series airplanes. This proposal would require modification of the escape slides. This action is necessary to prevent deflation of the escape slide after deployment, which could result in a delay during an emergency evacuation.
