This amendment is prompted by a report indicating that several discrepancies were found in the wiring of the FQIS due to maintenance or alteration practices. The actions specified by this AD are intended to prevent excessive electrical energy from entering the fuel tanks through the FQIS wiring, which could result in a potential ignition source in the fuel tanks.
