Advisory Committee on the Medical Uses of Isotopes: Meeting Notice

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission will convene two sub- committee meetings of the Advisory Committee on the Medical Uses of Isotopes as follows: The Diagnostic Sub-Committee Meeting will be held on February 23 and 24, 1999; the Therapeutic Sub-Committee meeting will be held on February 25 and 26, 1999. Both meetings, which are open to the public, will take place at the address provided below. The discussions will be focused on resolution of comments received on the proposed revision to 10 CFR part 35 (Medical Use of Byproduct Material) that was published in the Federal Register for comment on August 13, 1998 (63 FR 43580). The Diagnostic Sub-Committee will focus on comments pertaining to uses of unsealed byproduct material in medicine (Secs. 35.100, 35.200, and 35.300). The Therapeutic Sub-Committee will focus on comments pertaining to therapeutic uses of sealed sources (Secs. 35.400 and 35.600).
