Privacy Act of 1974; Department of Homeland Security/United States Secret Service-001 Criminal Investigation Information System of Records

In accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974 and as part of the Department of Homeland Security's biennial review of system of record notices, the Department of Homeland Security proposes to update and reissue a current Department of Homeland Security system of records titled, "Department of Homeland Security/United States Secret Service--001 Criminal Investigation Information System of Records." As a result of biennial review of this system, records have been updated within the categories of records, routine uses, and notification procedures of this system of records notice. Additionally, the Department of Homeland Security previously published a Final Rule in the Federal Register to exempt this system of records from certain provisions of the Privacy Act; the current updates to this system of records do not impact the nature of the exemptions claimed. This updated system will be included in the Department of Homeland Security's inventory of record systems.
